4/20 has always been important to SB — their many commemorative releases evident of that very fact. But after the drop of their iconic Skunk years ago, the line-up rarely achieved a standout on the same level. 2020, however, may just change that for the better as the brand has revealed not one but two celebratory colorways of equal energy. The first, which was unfortunately postponed, showed some love to the Strawberry Cough strain and the next arrives with similar inspiration though it seems to prefer the high of the Purple Haze. Outfitted in a vast array of suede fabrications, the pair cuts quite close to the aforementioned in texture while the colors seem to flip the palette for a take that can easily be coined the Reverse Skunk . Much of the paneling doses two different shades of purple, swooshes and toolings mark with a vibrant cannabis-like green, the insole adds a fittingly festive Skunk graphic, and the inside tongue hides a well-concealed stash pocket. It’s also possible that the release will be limited to a total of 420 as the lateral heel stamps with a “1/420” debossing. Grab a quick look at these here and expect a release potentially on April 20th, barring any postponements.
